The Orphanage

The Question: How many hugs can you give to 24 kids in 3 hours?
The Answer: More than you can count.

The orphanage we visited is run by YWAM (Youth with a Mission).  Many of the kids have lived on the street so to prevent them from returning it is located half an hour-ish drive outside of the city.

After arriving we had just a short time before we were surrounded by kids who wanted to talk and to give hugs.  You could feel their desire for love and attention.

Miranda taught a lesson about being unique and valuable to God.  Every person’s fingerprint is different, including identical twins.  This is just one physical sign that God has made us all unique.

To reinforce the lesson and just to have fun we wanted the kids to play with their food.  We just hope we did not start something…  The kids did an amazing job!  See for yourself:

The kids really liked having their pictures taken and taking pictures of each other.

We had an amazing morning, which was altogether too brief.
